OUR BEGINNINGS

The Cystic Fibrosis Pharmacy arose out of a lasting friendship between two remarkable women: Lois Adams, a licensed, consulting pharmacist, and Beverly Donelson, a marketing specialist. In 1984, Ms. Donelson's granddaughter was born with Cystic Fibrosis. Because the family needed help finding the pharmaceuticals their daughter needed, Ms. Donelson confided in Ms. Adams, and they both got to work. In the process, both learned about how Cystic Fibrosis impacts the lives of entire families throughout the U.S. They knew there had to be a better way for these patients and their families! And so, the Cystic Fibrosis Pharmacy was born.

The Staff at the Cystic Fibrosis Pharmacy are dedicated to serving the persons with CF as well as their families. This is done in many ways. We take part in many programs that pharmaceutical companies provide (see compassion program link) as well as our own. To help the family members, our sister pharmacy, Freedom Pharmacy, is available and purchases can even be sent to the family home together. Whatever it takes to help the family.
